Steel strip passing through a precision slitting line producing narrow 6 mm strips

For stamping and component makers, narrow strip used to mean compromise: buy wide coils and re-slit in-house, losing material and time on every changeover. Precision slitting at the mill changes that equation.

Our longitudinal slitting lines cut tinplate and steel strip from the narrowest 6 mm to any customer-specified width, up to 1250 mm, with a width tolerance of 0-3 mm. Every knife setup is verified with calipers before the first meter ships.

The savings compound quickly. Slitting to the exact blank width reduces edge scrap, eliminates a second handling step, and lets stamping presses run unattended longer between strip changes. For high-volume electronics and auto parts, the payback is measured in weeks.

If your drawings call for strip below 20 mm, talk to us. Narrow-width slitting is our core strength - and it is priced like a standard service, not a specialty job.
