Product Description
Tin free steel (TFS), also known as electrolytic chromium coated steel (ECCS), is a thin cold rolled steel sheet coated with metallic chromium and chromium oxide instead of tin. It offers excellent lacquer adhesion, a clean matte appearance and strong sulfide-stain resistance - at a lower cost than tinplate.
TFS must be lacquered before use, which makes it a favorite for crown caps, food can bodies and trays. We slit TFS strip from 6 mm to any customer-specified width.
